Rebrand Information

The Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley is now Homeless Connections! While our name has changed, our clients and the community will continue to receive the same level of service that we have provided since opening our doors in 1981.

Homeless Connections Logo

We decided to rebrand the organization after it was determined the existing name, Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley, didn’t fully represent the services that we offer to our clients and the community.

The name Homeless Connections was developed from information gathered in research, forming a task force and hosting numerous focus groups with our clients, staff, donors, volunteers and members of the community. This updated name and look will better reflect the mission of our organization and will provide better positioning as we collaborate and partner with other organizations in the community in the future.

Homeless accurately describes the situation our clients are experiencing or at-risk of facing. Each of our four core areas of impact – Shelter, Case Management, Prevention, and Street Outreach – focuses on connecting people who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness to resources to promote self-sufficiency and prevent future homeless episodes. We also offer opportunities for donors and volunteers to connect with our mission and be a part of the solution to end homelessness in our community.

Homeless Connections LogoThe Homeless Connections brand identity cleverly incorporates a subtle “H” for homelessness in the shape of a home symbolizing shelter and protection and our ultimate goal of helping those we serve secure homes of their own. The middle line of the “H” represents a window. The design of the logo is purposefully not connected showing the need to equip people experiencing homelessness with resources and support so they can live healthy, self-supporting lives.
